Safari Planning Essentials
Best Time to Safari
Kenya offers year-round safari opportunities. The dry season (Jun–Oct) is peak for wildlife viewing. The green season (Nov–May) offers lower prices and fewer crowds.
What to Pack
Neutral clothing (khaki, brown, green), comfortable shoes, sunscreen, hat, binoculars, camera with zoom lens, warm fleece for early mornings, and insect repellent.
Visa & Entry
Most nationalities can get a Kenya e-visa for $50. Apply online at evisa.go.ke before your trip. Rwanda also offers visas on arrival for most countries.
Health & Vaccines
Yellow fever vaccine is required. Malaria prophylaxis is recommended. Consult your doctor 4-6 weeks before travel for up-to-date advice.
