Situated just outside the bustling city, Nairobi National Park is the only park in the world located so close to an urban area.
This unique park offers an incredible wildlife experience, with the Nairobi skyline serving as an unusual backdrop to the stunning array of animals within. During your game drive, you’ll have the opportunity to observe a diverse range of wildlife including lions, leopards, buffalo, rhinos and zebras making this a photographer’s paradise. The morning coolness makes it the perfect time for animal sightings as the wildlife is highly active.
At around 10:00 AM, you will head to the Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage. Here, you’ll witness an extraordinary conservation effort, where orphaned baby elephants are fed and cared for by dedicated staff. This is an opportunity to learn about the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust’s pioneering elephant orphan rescue and rehabilitation program, the most successful of its kind in the world.
